Geraldine Saglio

My inspiration, I absolutely adore her, she has fantastic taste in clothing. She is the assistant stylist at Vogue Paris.

A few weeks ago I was perusing a very popular fashion site when I stumbled upon a picture of Geraldine. I immediately took note of her style, and was interested in discovering more. I am super impressed by her level of taste and her chic-ness ( if that's even a word :D) I am in love with all of the outfits that she has worn, they are so simple yet there is a presence about them. Needless to say, I have a feeling there will be more posts about her :D.

Versace 2010

I am intrigued by the collection, its not the usual Versace collection, that's what makes it stand out. I absolutely love it, there are colors, classic shapes and great jackets. This is without a doubt a collection that I adore

Philosophy Cleanser

I had read numerous reviews about this product. Many loved the fact that it was gentle on their skin, it left it soft and moisturised. Others dissagreed and added that it was too "gentle", it did not remove their makeup properly.

I have used this for about two weeks, I cannot say that I love it, but then again I cannot say it was awful. It's an ok product as far as I am concerned. It has a pleasant scent, however I could not easily describe it. The cons of the product are certaily that it is time consuming ( 1 min for it to start cleaning) and I found that it did not remove all of my eye makeup. I do like the fact that it is gentle and it does not irritate my dry skin. Which is a big plus, because it doesn't strip my face of its natural oils, which would do more damage to the skin.

Pink Venus (Lustre)

Looks very bright in the picture, its not photographed very easily, its a lustre so the glitter particles catch the flash. Its more of a deeper pink, in the picture it looks very bubble gum pink. Still its a beautiful color, and i find that its very easy to intensify the color, there might be some fallout of glitter, but I think the color is worth it. I usually mix this with a very soft brown for an easy and chic day look. The only downside is the fallout, that's probably the downside to lustres. I like the color, I also think that its better to pat on the color rather than sweep it across the lid, that way you minimize the fallout. I think it would also work as a cheek highlighter.

Mmm, guava

This body butter is by Korres. It is without a doubt one of the best body butters that I have used. The scent is intoxicating (positive :D) I instantly think of a tropical vacation every time i use this. I never thought guava smelled soo good, its addicting. Because of this product I bought a smaller size (for travel) and the lip butter which is fantastic!!! i have 2!!! I love the consistency of the product and the fact that it moisturizes my dry skin in the winter and keeps it moisturized for hours without feeling greasy. And the best part, the scent last for hours too. Its soo creamy it reminds me of coconut whip cream, yum, it melts into the skin and leaves a beautiful glow to the skin. There are three size containers, the one pictured would be the second size. The smallest size is the one that is perfect for traveling, the second one has a pump and the biggest size comes in a tube, similar to the travel size. The only downside would be that it might be too heavy during summer, but when fall /winter comes its a perfect treat.

MLH fall/ winter 09/10

This designer, Maria Lucia Hohan, just happens to be one of my all time favorite designers. And this is another collection of hers that I adore :D. She makes such feminine clothes, I love how airy they are and how she uses fabrics and textures. In this collections she uses a lot of pastels, but what impresses me is that unique detail, the peacock belt. Its a pop of color on a pastel canvas. The middle outfit happens to be my personal favorite, but that's just cuz i have a thing for lace details :D, its a gorgeous dress.

Anca Ioana Petrea - Mechanical Poetry (Pasarela 2009)

I am quite impressed by this collection, very fantasy meets futuristic. The designer uses a lot of metallics, patterns and shapes in this collection. I am adoring all three, however, if I was to pick a favorite the last one, no doubt :)

V. Beckham's spring/summer 09

I for one adore Victoria Beckham, I love the simplicity of her style. I would without a doubt wear each of these garments, very chic, clean and polished. The type of clothes that you need fabulous heels and attitude.

Tinted to perfection

I must say, that I am not the biggest fan when it comes to tinted foundations. They have a great concept, moisturize and cover in one simple step, yet many just leave you with an unflattering color. But, I believe I may have come accross a product that is worth its time in the spotlight! Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer (pic from lauramercier.com) ....yes, i adore the product. Just make sure that you get the right color, I got a shade darker than my skintone, but yay for fake tanning :D, and now it matches my skintone perfectly. I still apply moisturizer before it, but thats more out of habit than need. I have dry skin, but it absorbs nicely into my skin, I have had no problems with it rubbing off, which is another plus. It also gives a nice dewy finish that I simply adore in the spring/summer days. It's one of those products that you want to wear when the weather is nice and you just want a bit of coverage. It would look great with a neutral eye or a red lip for instant day glamour.

Chic

I love the simplicity of the first dress, the contrast of the two colors make the details stand out. However, I think a more colorful shoe is needed; something bold or dramatic. If not then maybe a statemet necklace or a bright belt. The look is very clean but a bright accessory would have added some edge.

The second dress, how feminine is that? This dress has such an etheral vibe, its light and airy....great movement in the fabric. Small details and i love that the print is not very strong.

Its perfect for spring.

Lena Criveanu

I love how feminine these are, they are so chic. I am loving the combination of a elegant dress and a more casual shoe, normaly thats a big no, but Criveanu pulls it off. My absolute favorite of the three is the one on the right (full length) ....gorgeous! Its glamorous and the raspberry color is delicious :D. All three have a relatively simple design, what gives them that unique touch is the fact that they each have a focus point.....overall, love.

Could that word be any more exciting? It's becoming popular, Ive noticed that the new trend for the year seems to be unique personal style, finally something fresh. I am seeing bold lips, bright jackets and belts, heels (must have), and chic and simple up-dos. I applaud those that are finally stepping out of the jean and t-shirt "rule". I wanna see creativity, after all fashion is art.
